Biography
Marcia has her origins deeply rooted in her bipartite heritage, being born to a Luxembourgish father and a Brazilian mother in Rio de Janeiro, where she graduated in Psychology at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ).
She started her career in the Visual Arts more than a decade ago, having already taken part in Individual and Collective Exhibitions throughout Brazil, Spain, Germany, USA, Dubai and, more recently, in Hybrid format (online and on-site).
Since 2010, a full-time member of the body of artists from "Ateliê da Galeria OkO Arte Contemporânea" and "Ateliê Projeto Impresso".
Attended the free courses from the "School of Visual Arts" at Parque Lage and received her MBA in "Art and Visual Culture History" from the UCAM - Rio de Janeiro.
Her artistic journey comes to the Artistic Residency at LAB CLUBE in "Cianotipia Total", crosses the Discussion Group "Talking about Contemporary Art" and leads to the "Production of Paper and Handcrafted Photographs" in the city of São Paulo.
In 2021, attended to "Curatorial Notions and Visual Arts Exhibitions Setups" and "Curatorial and Visual Arts Exhibitions Setups" with Fernando Cocchiarale and Ivan Pascarelli by ART VEINE.
In parallel to her artistic production, she also provides Mentoring and Orientation to new artists in theoretical-practical studies of Contemporary Art with emphasis on the development of the creative process.
